Ryan Christian Davis and Asia Marie Boatwright

Ryan Christian Davis

Ryan Christian Davis was a promising young man who left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he encountered. Born on May 8, 1993, Ryan was the only child of Aziza King, a single mother. On April 28, 2021, Ryan and his girlfriend, Asia Boatwright, were killed by a drunk driver fleeing from the California Highway Patrol. They were t-boned at a speed of over 80mph, which was 45 mph over the speed limit.

Ryan's life was filled with love, ambition, and a strong faith in God. After graduating from Gahr High School in Cerritos, CA, Ryan began working closely with his mother, overseeing their real estate property management company. Ryan's talents extended beyond the realm of business. He possessed exceptional skills in the kitchen. He excelled as a chef and had plans to start a catering truck and business.

Ryan's memory lives on in the hearts of his mother, Aziza, his family, and friends. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and the positive impact he made on the lives of others. Ryan's infectious smile and unwavering faith will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. May his spirit inspire and uplift others, just as he did during his time with us.

Asia Marie Boatwright

Asia Marie Boatwright

Born on March 18, 1999, Asia Marie Boatwright was the first and only daughter of Melissa Gonzalez. From the time she was born, Asia warmed the hearts of her family, bringing them all joy. Sadly, her light was turned to darkness on April 28, 2021, by a drunk driver engaged in a high-speed chase by the California Highway Patrol. Asia was killed instantly upon impact, while her boyfriend, Ryan Davis, died shortly after the crash.

Asia graduated from Birmingham High School in 2017 and dreamed of becoming a nurse. She attended college courses at Pierce College while still in High School and continued after graduating. Following her passing, her mother learned of her acceptance to nursing school at LA Valley College. She never got to see that her hard work and dedication paid off. Undoubtedly, if given the chance, Asia would have accomplished all she set out to do. Her family will forever be proud of her.

Let Asia Marie's legacy be this: Time waits for no one. Don't wait to speak the words that need to be said. Love one another boldly. Make amends with others quickly. And most importantly, be fearless! We love you, Asia, and hope to see you again one day.
