What a month! June marked a major milestone with our signature event, Finish The Ride and Run – Griffith Park. Thousands came out to ride, run, roll, and remember—proving once again that the movement for safer streets is powered by community. Thank you to every participant, volunteer, and partner who made the day unforgettable!

But the fight for safer streets isn’t over. This month, we’re breaking down a bill that could finally give cities the power to set lower speed limits where it matters most. We’re also sharing the latest on Assembly Bill 645—a proven, life-saving tool. So why is Los Angeles dragging its feet?

And last but definitely not least—SAFE turns 10 this year, and you're invited to celebrate! Join us as we honor a decade of advocacy, action, and lives changed—together.

One Weekend. One Community. One Mission: Safer Streets.

This past 12th annual Finish The Ride and Run Griffith Park was an incredible success, and that’s because everyone showed up to spread not only good energy but also pressure to create a community that is more welcoming to cyclists and runners. 

Between riders, runners, volunteers, and spectators, almost 2,000 people were there. And it wasn’t just a crowd—it was a community. That kind of atmosphere only occurs when care and intention are behind every detail.

On February 17, 2013, Damian Kevitt survived a horrific hit-and-run.

In the months that followed getting out of the hospital, he turned that trauma into action and Streets Are For Everyone was born.

This year marks 10 years of relentless advocacy, life-saving programs, and grassroots change since officially becoming a nonprofit organization.

We're celebrating a decade of: 🕯️ Honoring victims, 🏛️ Passing life-saving legislation, 🎓 Educating youth, 🙌 Training volunteers, 🚴 Building a movement for safer streets. And that’s not even the half of it!

Celebrate with friends, partners, and advocates who helped make this milestone possible—as we reflect on what we’ve achieved, and launch the next 10 years of impact!
